how links work on roazon

roazon is a change feed, not a shop — we link out to roasters' own webshops and sell nothing ourselves. some of those outbound links pay us a small commission when you buy through them. this page says plainly where, and what that does and doesn't change.

what a commission does

when a link is affiliate-linked, clicking it and buying something can earn roazon a small commission from the roaster or an affiliate network — at no extra cost to you. the price you pay is the price the roaster's own site shows.

what it never changes

commissions never touch what we track, how a coffee is ranked or filtered, or what we'd honestly recommend. a roaster or a pick isn't shown, hidden, or ordered differently because a link pays us — the same radar and the same gear picks exist whether or not a link is affiliate-linked.

where you might see this

outbound links from a roaster's profile page (the "their site" link) and picks in the brew-gear guide can be affiliate-linked. every counted outbound link on roazon routes through /go/ first regardless — that's our own click count, never a tracker that follows you elsewhere.

where café and map data comes from

café and venue listings — name, address, location — and the maps on roaster pages are built from OpenStreetMap, the open map of the world made by volunteers. That data is used under the Open Database Licence (ODbL); a café's own owner can claim and correct their listing at any time. © OpenStreetMap contributors.
